Cecile J. Doyon, 82, of Auburn passed away peacefully July 13 of complications from COPD/lung cancer. Born in Berlin, she was the daughter of Leon H. and Germaine (Brochu) Breault. She was raised in Berlin, graduating from Notre Dame High School. She then attended Rivier College in Nashua and received an Associate degree from NH College (now SNHU). She worked at Pandora Knitted Fashions, Auburn Village School, and for the 20 years before retiring, in the mortgage banking services.
Cecile was an active member of Prime Time, volunteered for Caregivers, CMC, and continued to volunteer through the Tuesday Afternoon Knitters. She has been a longtime communicant of St. Peter’s Church, a member of the Women’s Guild, and Prayer Shawl Ministry.
Cecile loved being surrounded by her family and friends. She was everyone's biggest supporter at soccer matches, at hockey games (but only the warm rinks), dance recitals, and gymnastics. She was everyone’s Grammy. Early on she instituted memory gifts instead of material gifts and spent one on one time with each person, doing what they wanted, listening, and giving them their own special time. Cecile loved to have everyone at the house for the holidays. She was famous for her peanut butter fudge and events she brought it to became known as fudge worthy.
Cecile was predeceased by her parents, her husband Paul, her sister Claire Harris and husband Bill of CA, son-in-law Richard Duval of Pembroke, brother-in-law Tom Doyon of OR, and sister-in-law Marianne Doyon of Hooksett. Cecile is survived by daughter Celeste P. Duval of Pembroke, daughter Dr. Diane E. Benoit of Bow, brother Pete Breault and his wife Claudette of Ridgefield, WA, brother-in-law Philip Doyon of Hooksett, son-in-law Christopher Benoit of Bow, grandchildren Tyler Duval and wife Karah and their children Bella and Greyson of Pembroke, Connor Duval of Pembroke, Nicholas Benoit and husband Matt Shriner of Westford, MA, Samantha Benoit of Bow, Miranda Benoit and Justin Fernandes of Wolcutt, CT, Nate Benoit of Bow, family friends Scott Swank of Pembroke, Randy, Jennie, and Lauren Nelson of N. Dighton, MA, many nieces and nephews, wonderful neighbors, and numerous friends.
A funeral mass will be at St. Peter’s Church, Auburn, NH on Friday July 21, 2023 at 10:30 am to be followed by a graveside service at Village Cemetery in Auburn.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Cecile’s name to Granite VNA Hospice House, 240 Pleasant St. Concord, NH 03301-2500.
