Heidemarie Ingrid (Remann) Langlois, 79, formerly of Methuen MA and Salem NH, peacefully passed away on July 5, 2024, in Portsmouth NH. She had fought a long battle with Dimentia.
Heidi was the daughter of the late Gertrud (Schimanski) Remann and Edmund Remann. She was born April 17, 1945 in Auherzen, Czechoslovakia. She was raised in Berlin, Germany along with her older sisters; Traudel, Lilo, Babel, and Monika. She grew up in a post-WWII West Berlin.
After getting married to U.S. Air Force member, Claude Langlois, Heidi moved to Massachusetts in the United States. She is survived by her four sons: Shawn, Eric, David, and Thomas and his wife, Kristine. Heidi is also, survived by her sister Monika, 10 grandchildren (Crystal McKenna and her husband Robert, Tara Bell, Samantha Savage and her husband Steve, Michael, Megan, Thomas, Cameron, and Abby), 11 great-grandchildren (Sabrinah, Jazmin, Skyler, Brionna, Hayley, Aidan, Margaret, Niyla, Griffin, Lorali, and Hensley), and three nephews (Dirk, Jorg, Marc) and their families. Christmas was very expensive.
She enjoyed traveling the United States (in DC on 9/11), and the world. Especially with her sister, Monika.
She retired after working 30+ years, in purgatory, at K-mart. Deciding to spend most of her time collecting Beanie babies, Smurfs, and rooting for the Boston Pro sports teams.
She had a wonderful sharp wit and a great New England sarcastic sense of humor. Enjoyed watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and her soaps. We knew how long we could stay outside and when lunch would be ready by the old soaps’ schedules. She was a loving mother and will be missed dearly.
There will be a “Celebration of Life” at the Crescent Yacht Club in Haverhill, MA, on Sunday, July 28 from 1:00-4:00. All are welcome.
