A life Well Lived
After a long battle with cancer, Irene Theresa Stiasny, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 12th at home in Allenstown, NH surrounded by family.
Irene was born on July 14, 1941 in New York City to parents Lorenzo Mailhot and Rita (Bellemore) Mailhot. She was predeceased by death by her parents, and her sister, Doris.
Irene is survived by her sons Steve, Rick, David and Danny and her daughters Gail and Diane. She
is one of 7 children. Her siblings include Pauline, Ray, Robert, Elaine and Larry as well as 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Irene worked in the manufacturing business for many years, upon receiving her degree in Computer Science at Mount Washington College she went on to work at Home Insurance Company, Divine Millimet Law firm and was a long-time employee at UPS, in Manchester, NH.
Irene leaves behind a legacy of a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend as well as a woman of great faith. She was known as a generous, light-hearted, and compassionate soul. She loved the simple things in life and spending time with family and friends. In her younger days she had a passion for square dancing and gardening. And right up until the end of her life, as so many can attest to, Irene loved to help those in need.
The family wishes to thank the nurses, Connie & Linda, from VNA of Manchester for their support, extraordinary devotion, and caring.
In honor of Irene’s life, a service will be held at the Restoration Foursquare Church 39 Fayette St , Concord, NH. on Saturday, February 25 at 11 am.
