Jean Lally

After a long period of declining health, Jean Lally, 88, of Manchester, NH passed away on April 1 ^st at Hanover Hill Nursing Home with family by her side.

Born in Boston Massachusetts, Jean was the daughter of the late William and Christine Murray.

She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Hugh Lally; brother, Peter; and son, William.

Jean is survived by her son, Frank Oliver, and daughters, Maryann Riemer and Christine Bresolin.

Jean leaves behind seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by one grandchild.

Jean worked for many years at the Carpenter Hotel in Manchester and at Myrna Shoe Factory as a purchaser.

Over the course of her life, Jean enjoyed spending time with family and taking her grandchildren for overnight visits. She was always their number one supporter. Above all else, she loved traveling with her late husband, Hugh, as well as taking occasional trips to the casino and spending time with him in Florida during the winter months where they attended Red Sox Spring Training games, hanging out with friends, attending park events, and riding their three-wheeler bicycles.

The family would like to thank the Hanover Hill Nursing Team and staff members for their compassionate support and care of Jean over the last couple of years of her life. We also want to thank VNA Hospice of Manchester for attending to Jean’s comfort and needs over the past few days of her life.

Jean will be laid to rest alongside her late husband, Hugh, at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
