Keny Judith Corson

June 6, 1958 — December 20, 2021

Keny Judith Corson, 63, of Manchester, NH died December 20, 2021, at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester of severe fibrosis of the lungs due to COVID-19 pneumonia and bacterial pneumonia. She died in the arms of her husband and her adopted daughter (a niece) Judy Bawcom.

Born in Panamá City, Panamá, on June 6, 1958, She was the daughter of Alejandro Kam and Silvia Tapia de Kam. She resided in Manchester for more than 25-years.

She often used her middle name of Judith with people outside her family.

Judith was a graduate of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico with a degree in chemical engineering. The IPN is one of the largest universities in Mexico specializing in the technical and engineering domain.

In Panamá she worked for the Panamanian Ministry of Commerce certifying foreign oil refineries for operation in Panamá. She had interviewed for two separate chemical engineering positions from the same American oil company; both men who got the jobs over her where killed not long thereafter in oil refinery explosions.

Later the man from the American oil company who had passed her over for hiring had to come before her for the annual recertification; he was a PH.D chemical engineer. His company was recertified.

Although she believed the men got the jobs over her because she was a woman, she was always fair and honest in her deportment. She also believed the Lord saved her from an untimely death and was an indication to change her career direction.

In the US she worked for Normandeau Associates in Bedford, NH as a Scientist Level 4 specializing in the identification of microscopic fish, fish
lava & eggs and microscopic algae samples taken from the Hudson River in New York.

Judith was a certified Open Water Scuba Diver and had dove for 25-years with her husband. She was also a member of the United Divers of NH Scuba Diving Club. Her diving pursuits took her from diving in New England to Florida, the Caribbean Islands, Mexico & Central America and the Red Sea in Eilat, Israel.

Judith loved to travel. Her most exciting trips were to Israel where she loved to go to the Western Wall to pray. She traveled the height & breadth of Israel by public transportation, commercial airlines, tour bus & taxi to see all of the great historical & biblical places.

She always sought to help the poor whether passing a plastic bag with a bottle of water and some granola bars to the homeless on street corners in Manchester or bringing free bread from the VFW to a couple elderly people on our street.

Her greatest devotion was the Lord Jesus Christ; she was a fastidious student of God’s Word. She would mail invitations to neighbors on our street to announce a ladies’ Bible study she would have every summer at our home as part of her personal outreach.

Judith would often say to total strangers that we would meet: “ I have a little secret for you.” She would draw close to them, and they would lean forward, and she would say, “Jesus, the Son of God, loves you!”

Judith also enjoyed going to church for hearing the Word of God preached and for the worship music. She attended Tower Hill Church, Auburn, NH.

Family members include her husband Willis R Corson, her adopted daughter Judy Bawcom, her brother Edwin & wife Mizti Kam and son Alejandro Kam and Monica Kam and brother Javier & wife Nibia Kam & Son Javier Kam Jr and daughters Yulang Kam and Yaiding Kam
her sister Kela Kam de Bawcom & her daughter Judy Bawcom, her aunt Gladys de Lindao & family and Uncle Javier Tapia & family.

Lead Pastor Gary Armstrong and Pastor Matt of Tower Hill Church offered prayers and tremendous support as well as their prayer team.

In Panamá, she attend the church Comunnidad Apostolica Hosana under Pastor Edwin Álvarez & Pastora Dalys de Álvarez. Her pastors and church prayed for her during her stay in the ICU. Pastora Dalys de Álvarez called Keny’s husband to pray with him and offer spiritual support.

We give special thanks to the Elliot Hospital’s ICU Team of Doctors, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Elliot Chaplin, Social Workers and other important team support personal for their dedication, sacrifices, compassion, communication skills.

Especially, I give thanks to ICU Doctor Laura McPhee and her tireless dedication in trying to save Keny’s life and her sincere and direct, honest communication and her sacrifices.

A Celebration of Life service for Keny Judith Corson will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 10:00 AM at the Tower Hill Church, 45 Myles Drive, Auburn, NH 03032. Church Phone: 603-483-2272.

Judith’s brothers Edwin & Javier and sister Kela held a private memorial in Panamá where they tossed red roses into the Pacific Ocean.

In lieu of flowers, hug a loved one, tell them you love them, and do all you can to learn how to protect yourself from COVID, including getting the shots and wearing a mask.
