Maureen A Downey

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen A. Downey of Manchester, who died on October 14, 2021, following a brief illness.

Maureen graduated from Notre Dame College in 1959. She was a devoted teacher in the Manchester area until her retirement in 1998. She continued to live her active lifestyle travelling with family, singing in the church choir, and enjoying her condo at Seabrook Beach with many of her friends.

Maureen is survived by her brother Michael and her nephew Marc, both living in Ottawa, Canada, and her niece Anne Marie, living in Montreal, Canada.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 Am at Durning, Bykowski & Young Funeral Home, 285 Manchester Street, Manchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St Joseph’s Cathedral, 145 Lowell Street, Manchester. Burial will take place at St Joseph’s Cemetery, Bedford.
