Paul J Wojdyla

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Paul J. Wojdyla, Jr. on April 4, 2024 after a period of declining health.  Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  Leaving us at the age of 88, Paul lived a wonderful life.  He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska where he held a private pilot’s license. Paul was an adventurer, a traveler, an avid skeet shooter and family man. Originally from Manchester, New Hampshire, he and his wife Sally, moved to Columbia, South Carolina in 1991.  My Dad was the only person I know that ate all pasta with white sauce instead of red sauce!  I will miss our Saturday lunches!

Paul is survived by Sally (Rybczyk) Wojdyla whom he married on January 22, 1955 in Manchester, New Hampshire. He is also survived by his daughter, Paula Mertens of Ridgeway, South Carolina, and his son, John Wojdyla of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina as well as two grandchildren, Daniel Mertens and his wife Caroline and great-grand-daughter Taylor of Columbia, South Carolina and Ashley Wojdyla of Concord, New Hampshire.

Paul will rest in peace in St. Hedwig cemetery, Bedford, New Hampshire alongside his father and his mother and father-in-law.  We love you Dad!
