Phyllis Ann Kozlowski

Phyllis Ann Kozlowski, 84, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2024 after a period of declining health.  She was surrounded by family staff, and friends at the Carriage Hill Assisted Living facility.

Phyllis was born on June 13,1939, in Manchester to Joseph and Mary (Bielawa) Kalisz. She attended local schools, including St. Casimir and graduated from Manchester High School Central class of 1956.

While raising her family, she worked part-time at Jordan Marsh. She was later employed at the Manchester Housing Authority and retired after many years. Upon retirement, she and her husband, Frederick, wintered at Cypress Lakes in Lakeland, FL. There, she loved sitting at the pool with many friends, trips to the casino and traveling.

Phyllis was a communicant of St. Hedwig Church and St. Teresa’s Parish in Rye Beach.  She was also a member of the St Hedwig’s    Ladies Guild.  She loved spending time on the beach with family, was an avid fan of the Red Sox and Patriots, and especially enjoyed watching the Hallmark channel.

Phyllis is predeceased by her husband Frederick, of 55 years, and her brother Joseph Kalisz, Jr and his wife Karen.  Members of her family include two daughters, Cheryl and her husband Steve St. Pierre of Rye, Janice Kozlowski and her husband Max Sink, also of Rye and a son, Michael Kozlowski of Dover.  She is survived by her younger brother Walter and his wife Dian Kalisz.  She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, JJ St.Pierre, Kyle St.Pierre, Zack St.Pierre, Liliana Kozlowski, Cooper Kozlowski, along with several nieces and nephews, as well as her beloved grand dogs, Maddy, Elly and Bailey.

In her memory, memorial donations may be sent to the St. Jude’s foundation.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday January, 17 at 10:00 am in St Hedwig Church, (corner of Beech Street and Orange Street) followed by her burial beside her husband in St Hedwig's Cemetery, Old Bedford Rd., Bedford, N.H.
