Sandy Higgins

On Saturday October 8, 2022 Sandy Higgins, loving mother and world-renowned grandmother passed away at the age of 68.

She is survived by her mother, Frances Graichen, her brother Frank Graichen,  three daughters, Melissa, Jessica and Kimberly,  her neices and nephews Frank, Christopher and Rachael and her 8 grandchildren, Jordan, Nikita, Michael, Sean, Emma, Colin, Evelynn and Parker all of whom she loved more than life itself.

She was predeceased by her father Frank and her neice Heidi.

She was an avid churchgoer and an enthusiastic member of the Red Hat society, attending social events for both regularly. She enjoyed television shows from the '60s to the '90s especially I Love Lucy and Star Trek, as well as word puzzles and games. She was a great fan of Kenny Rogers and enjoyed the theater.

Sandy had a huge heart, and was quick to love, and was continuously surrounded by those with whom she shared a great amount of affection. She was able to fill the room up with her loud, boisterous laugh especially when confronted by something shocking or controversial, something that was routinely exploited by her daughters and mother for their own amusement. She was also known to employ no small amount of acrobatic accumen while playing Dr. Mario, one again much to her daughters' amusement.

Her family will be holding a private celebration of life on Saturday, October 22nd from 11am to 2pm .
