Sister Felisitas, 75, passed away on Sep. 24, 2024. She was born on Jul. 10, 1949 to Roland & Lea (Bechard) Jean. Sister entered religious life on July 16, 1984. She received her habit on April 29, 1987 and took her perpetual vows on May 5, 1990. Sister was a graduate of Rivier University in Nashua, NH choosing to study in the medical field. She received her training at St. Joseph Hospital in Lowell, MA. She went to work at Lawrence General Hospital in 1974 as a phlebotomist, then chose to seek employment with a private laboratory. In 1984, she felt in her heart that God was calling her to the cloistered contemplative life. Sister presented herself to the Sisters of the Precious Blood on Bridge St. and was accepted into the Novitiate. She has served her community in various positions of authority including serving for 19 years as the Community Treasurer. Sister Felicitas was elected as 1st Councilor to the Superior’s Counsel for a term of 3 years. Upon retiring, Sister Felicitas accepted the duty of Community Librarian and temporary Professed mentor. She is survived by her Community, brother Roland R. Jean and twin sister Denise Cusson. Funeral services and burial will be private.
